This will sound SO TOTALLY RIDICULOUS b'c, TBH, I'm not looking to get Kurt and Dave together (why yes, I DO know this is a karofsky_hummel site, why do you ask?) but, anyway it really bugs me (for no reason at all, I guess) that Karofsky is checking out Sam's ass when I thought he was totally obsessed with Kurt. Honest to God, someone else said he was Kurtsexual (never heard the term prior to that) but clearly that's not true. But not only is that not true, the show appears to be backing off of the entire crush hideous obsession that Dave had on Kurt and that takes away so much of the original plot.

What's up with that?

(Keeping in mind, I'm not shipping the two together, and I think the pairing is an unhealthy idea... Yes, yes. Everyone else's miles vary. I get that.)

Well, even if Dave has a big crush on Kurt (which I think he has) I'm afraid a closeted gay teenage boy can't help but check all the asses he can.

I'm pretty sure Dave never kissed a girl (or boy) before the locker room scene with Kurt, and he must be full of raging hormones, hence the rage. I think what links him to Kurt is deeper than sexual attraction, I think he admires him for being out and free and and respect him for not telling about his secret.

Sexual attaction + admiration + respect = strong fondation for love.

Yep, what captain_love said, all the way. I think they backed off showing Dave as infatuated with Kurt this time around because the episode was more about him learning the error of his ways and getting Kurt to accept his apology, though I don't doubt we'll be seeing more of it in the future. There are still little clues into his crush, like the way he responded to Santana's 'you and Kurt' and the way he looks at Kurt in the office scene.

Also, I think it's spelled jicama (sorry, if that sounds like me being a picky bitch).

As long as Dave is a returning character in the series, I don't mind if they take their time to make some progress with Dave & Kurt's relationship. As they don't want to send the wrong message of Kurt falling in the arms of his Tormenter, it's best if Dave is fully rehabilitated before making some eventual move on Kurt. Otherwise the only logical response from Kurt would be another rejection.

When I think about it, all that happened in just one episode is incredible, he was the bad guy and a persona non grata at the glee club, and now he's attending the shows, a vigilante, and Santana is the perfect excuse for him to be in glee club (and around Kurt) when he wants to.

The clues you mentioned, and the final camera pan with him and Santana is very telling of the things to come.

That final pan was pretty powerful (as you say) - you could really see the emotions on their faces. Santana looked so unhappy with herself, and Dave looked freaked the fuck out.

You are right, it is spelled "Jicama" i thought i was hearing things haha (is a latin) Which has me wondering, which is the conexion she is trying to make with that comment?

lol, I think she was just making a stereotype joke about lesbians, though I wasn't aware it was a 'thing' for them to eat jicama (actually, I've been known to put it on my salads. Maybe I'm ghey? XD).

And you've hit my opinion-nail right on the head regarding Dave checking out Sam's ass!!!! I'm totally against this. Personally I do ship Kurt with Dave, so this bugs me even more. BUT they had to get Santana to figure it out some way, so I guess we'll have to forgive the writers for Dave's lapse :)

I wish they hadn't backed off of Dave's crush on Kurt, but like people have said - this episode was more about Dave's growth and general feelings about possibly being gay and didn't focus on his attraction specifically to Kurt.

...which goes against my earlier comment about Dave being straight and only Kurtsexual. Lol. But the show is canon, and not my opinion :) So I guess Dave is either properly gay (even though he's denying it) or bi, or at the very least bicurious.

Well, while I REALLY, REALLY would prefer it if the show would shove Dave into counseling of some sort, I have to admit that the little tete-a-tete Kurt and Dave had in Figgins office was all kinds of cute (altho Kurt's notions of what is 'gay' is completely stereotypical and just plain wrong -- he did the same thing when he thought Sam might be gay and brought up Singin' in the Rain and Make 'Em Laugh and when Sam didn't know the musical his response was okay, maybe you're NOT gay...)

But their back and forth was totally adorable.

If the show is going to keep Dave in check, then funny scenes like that would be great!

(But no, if they take away the concept of Dave being into Kurt, then I too am annoyed b'c I didn't think that Dave was just into Kurt b'c he happened to be the only gay boy in sight -- I got the impression he was into Kurt b'c he was into Kurt...!)
