And again.

How often will we have to witness this kind of fuckery before goal technology is finally made reality? I don't understand how a goal referee can possibly stand 1 to 2 meters away from the goal, have a free sight at the goal and yet fail to see that the ball was about half a meter (at least) behind the line?

The truth is I can't be as angry about this screw up, and the fact that England wasn't playing like they deserved to go anywhere - (that said, Ukraine was truly rather useless either; they would never have won this game even if that goal had been counted [not to mention that the player was off side anyway, although, on the other hand, there had been no sign of a flag and no whistle to show that the referee had acknowledged that] - this game was simply weak overal. And France... duh...) - as I was yesterday because I am, and forever will be, sold on individuals. And within the realm of football there is no one else that I love more than whom I was granted to see coming back tonight (nevermind that he wasn't awesome and his goal was due to the incredibly sad moment of the Ukraine's defending.)
That... is the one moment when love does indeed vanquish negativity. Bless, miracles do happen.

Another truth is that everyone of us feels/is keen on saying or implying something negative about a team that we loathe deeply once in a while when given an obvious occasion to do so. No need to lie about that. I hope no one's so hypocritical about it to believe otherwise.

I swear to God the next post will be artwork.

why is this my life, team: england, football, football: wayne rooney, existential questions, euro 2012
