Holy shit, it's been a long time.

Basically, I've been looking forward to the end of Junior year. I never used to believe people when they told me about the horrors if junior year, but they were completely right. The courses are hard, the homework doesn't stop... grrrr. But, outside of the classroom, I'm liking it. Minus the play. It sucks. Balls. Nuf Ced. (That last one is a Red Sox allusion).

After spending 5 days alone at my house, I've officially decided that I'm excited for college. I loved the freedom to do what I wanted when I wanted. If I wanted to watch TV, I could. If I wanted to get ahead on some homework, no big deal. It was just really nice. It's not that I don't like my family or anything, because that's not true. I just love the idea of being free to do whatever I want. And I'm not going to go crazy, because I'm against that sort of thing. I just want to be my own person with my own schedule.

I can't wait for Woody's to open again. I'm not broke... yet. After I pay for the Close-Up trip, though... yeah, I think we all can see where my wallet is going.

Close Up... only like 25 days away. That trip is going to be awesome. I'm going to be perfectly honest... I'm a history nerd. Like an UBER history nerd. I love it. I just enjoy soaking it all up. The highlight of last summer for me was Gettysburg. It... was... AMAZING! There was so much history, and it was all right there. I can't WAIT for Washington. I know most people don't understand why I would rather go to DC than Costa Rica, and, basically, I don't care if they understand or not. All I know is that I get to go to the White House, the Smithsonian, and walk all around what makes our country what it is. Hells yeah!

Not to mention... debates. That's a big part of the trip, debating your ideas with other people from across the country. I LOVE to argue and debate. I do it a lot. People tend to mistake my friendly, I'm-intrigued-by-what-you're-saying type arguments for angry, hatred-filled-screaming matches. But, yeah, it's going to be kickass and a half.

APUSH calls... unfortunately.
