Thankful
It seems I've been very whiny and despondent lately in these here lj posts. So it's time for THIS:
Thankful in no particular order
1) For finding my Spiritual Path so early in life, and being aware of the Divinity inherent in all.
2) For my family, who even though they can drive me nuts, Love me very much. And well, they put up with all my crap, what more can I ask for? I chose them before I came to this body, and for good reason.
3) For all the comforts of life I have- roof over head, food (and the ability to choose what to eat), money, cars, computer etc etc. Never having to worry about not having enough to survive.
4) For music, which keeps me going when times are tough and reminds me that I'm not alone in how I feel. It inspires, it strengthens.. it gives me freedom of expression + brings me closer to God and the Universe.
5) For my gorgeous friends, both IRL and online, who give so much genuine Love and support no matter what, who I love from the very core of my being. I am truly blessed to have the friends that I do, true, real friends.
6) For my health- I have all my limbs, my senses, I feel so lucky that I have these things and hope that I put them to use in the correct way.
7) For my education, no matter the flaws inherent in it- I have choices because of my education, and that in itself is precious.
I was going to go with some fun stuff like.. fresh lime juice on a hot day, Filipino mangoes just out of the fridge eaten with my fingers, or the smell of new photocopying, or the exhiliration of taking the wrapping off a new book and opening the first page.. or even having a melody come into my head without warning. But perhaps another day I'll make that sort of list. I'm all serious today!
