More often than not, grad school means squishy brain syndrome for me. I'm thankful that I've magically reached this point where I CAN sit down and do homework for hours on end, as long as I switch between subjects/types of homework every hour or so. Note that this wouldn't even be an issue if I hadn't gone to various alcohol-laden events for the past three nights instead of doing homework. Bad decision making, Kat.
Soooo... What's been up with me? Went to Orlando last weekend, which was fun for all since I got to see Miko and Co., Sarah and co., and, of course, Mike. Highlights of the weekend include Enchilada Fest 2006, Food and Wine Festival, Downtown Disney, and Lazy Moon. The big news, though, is Mike's starting to look for jobs up here, so he should be moving to Boston by January at the latest. Yay for no more long distance relationship!
I have a story due for workshop on Tuesday. It's not done. I just deleted a soliloquy on writing and Emerson; I don't feel like it right now. One thing I've learned about writing in the past four years: it's getting slightly easier to finish a first draft of a piece. Now to get to that point where I can revise them into something decent. *sigh*
I bought Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. So far it's cute. A nice, quick diversion when I need a break. I think I'll go play some now.
