Oh and in recent developments... The faculty, which had unofficially spoken in favor of students, kept the strike lines, and helped them during their strike, went to their own general meeting... and added themselves to the strike and voiced their own proposals and problems.
Also, a policeman involved with a public manifestation turned violent (by the police) made a big mistake by posting in his Facebook that he was glad he was finally able to hit someone. I think he is an idiot and should've read Facebook privacy 101. Somehow I got into a discussion with a former classmate about it, too. She argued that the policeman was within his rights to write whatever he wanted in Facebook, without consequences. I pointed out that, given his job, and given what he wrote, he SHOULD face some consequences. At the very least, he can be a liability to the (already maligned, for better or worse) police force.
