Just a couple of things I forgot to mention:
I spoke to my parents about what I was thinking of, in terms of the truck driver thing. While they didn't flat out dismiss the idea as lunacy, they indicated to "think carefully before you jumped into it alltogether." For sure! I'm still undecided as to whether or not I will go through with it or not. I have until mid-May to decide, so there is still some time. Also, if I get hired by the call center my cousin works at, I may to put that idea on the back burner for awhile.
Mick_Stover, Briemh's friend, did sent me an email relaying his trucking experiences and advice. I had mom read it with me, and she commented that what was said was very informative, and to keep it in mind in my decision. They know that I'm old enough to decide for myself, but it's obvious that they still worry about me. They don't want to see their "little boy" make the wrong choice, like he has done so many times before. :P
That's the one thing. The other thing was that I noticed something new when I went for a walk after I came home from my adventure at the unemployment office.
The homestead is a proverbial stone's throw away from a saltwater way called The Northumberland Straight. And on a clear day, when the tide is low, you have a clear view of Prince Edward Island. That's where I noticed something I've never seen before on the Island: WINDMILLS! And I don't mean the kind you find in the Netherlands, I mean the kind that generate electricity! I guess PEI is developing wind energy more and more. I counted eleven windmill while I was out walking. It's a good start to developing alternative sources of energy! :)
