My Favorite Songs That Reminds Me of My Friends and Highschool
song that will make you remember your friends, or highschool.
1. For Good from Wicked
this song sang by Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth from the broadway musical Wicked. I originally knew this song from Glee. When I listen to the lyrics, I think this is the first song I heard about how thankful you are having a bestfriend that change your live, a bestfriend that completes you, been there for you laugh and cry together, supporting each other. the video above is Idina and Kristin last performance, just like the comment, they sang this song not as Glinda and Elphaba, but as Kristin and Idina, who become close through the musical.
Favorite line: "I do believe I have been change for good, because I knew you"
2. To Sir With Love by Lulu
This song come from the movie with the same title. this song really pictured what highschool mean to us. I knew this song from Glee too, when I tried to search the original singer, the I find the movie too. Lulu sang this back when she was in her teenage years.the song not just talk about the firends that you met in highschool, but everything that happen in those days.
Favorite line: "but how do you thank someone who was taken you from crayons to perfume?"
3. In My Live by The Beatles
Amazing song from the legend! I love all The Beatles song. I knew The Beatles when I was in my 7th grade, I told my dad to go to the old music store to buy all the cassette(back then it was kind of hard for me to find the cd, lol). I didn't have much, because my dad just allowed me to buy one or two.
Favorite Line: "There are places I remember, all my life though some has change"
4. Sahabat Kecil by Ipang
From the greatest film original soundtrack, Laskar Pelangi. The lyrics really touches my hearts, when I was in middle school, I sang this with my friends, at that moment, like the lyrics said, I wish it never changes.
Favorite line: "From the time that I spend with you, I'm glad that I knew you"
(it's kind of hard translating the lyrics, and I can not find the english translation, so just enjoy the video!)

Another song from the Laskar Pelangi's original soundtrack! You can tell why this song reminds me so much of my friends and higschool right from the lyrics :)
