Yigg

I resolved, as I went to sleep, that between the next time I woke and the next time I slept I wouldn't use Kongregate or the Book of Faces.
It is far harder than I expected, which to me says it is far more important than I was giving it credit for. Boycotting those two sites isn't some whim, but a necessity for my mental health right now.
I also haven't worked up my frickin' calendar of activities.

Inventing my due-dates wholesale hasn't been a good model. It depresses me and doesn't keep me working hard long enough to get substantial work finished.
I actually had several paragraphs, but when I wrote those two sentences at the end I realized the several paragraphs boiled down to that.

I'm going to try a function-positive model. Basically, no invented due-dates, and I reward productivity with a gamey thing. It's similar to HabitRPG but only using the Quest section, not the Dailies (which you can lose HP for failing at).
There's no question I'm willing to work up a spreadsheet for this model-building. I was willing to make a spreadsheet for my card collection in Star Era.
The question is whether I treat it as a D&D thing (leveling myself up as a person) or a Pokemon thing (leveling up my skills/projects as little monsters).
I like the second option, not least because it gives a new and positive meaning to the term "feed the beast."

Well. I started this post with "Yigg" being the cringing noise-made-while-grimacing, emotionally somewhere between "yeesh" and "yuck." But now I'm gonna name one of my monsters Yigg.
