sophie and I reached a new level of friendship today.
I noticed she was licking her nose a lot (which I've recently learned is an indication that she's trying to make herself hack up a hair ball), so I picked her up and quickly took her to the bathroom sink so that she wouldn't do it on the carpet (which is a pain in the butt to clean).
similar to how I'd imagine sorority sisters holding each other's hair back while they took turns puking after a night of partying, I held sophie in place while she threw up into the sink.
she's okay now.
and cleaning herself. (great, this'll be a repeat performance.)
I feel bad because I know I should brush her more often to prevent the hair balls. it's just tough because she always tries eat the brush when I try, even though I've stopped keeping it in close proximity to her food. and regardless of whether I brush her, she's always been very attentive to keeping herself well groomed and pretty. (so she IS like a sorority girl!)
