This is my first post in a long time.

I hope you're ok. I'm doing quite well here in my backwater. Loffe is sleeping in front of my chair.

We have Norrlandian winter, but hopefully it won't be too cold in the coming weeks, maybe even a few degrees above freezing.

I intend to try to post regularly, maybe twice a week, no promises to be

I get a very odd kind of mixed feelings, when I see Loffe put his front paws protectively around the mouse he's playing with.

Loffe is smug because since the neighbour's dog died, he can go there for treats.

We are smug because we know it's dog treats...

This morning I dropped the bucket of cat food with the lid partially off. I spent some time rescuing the pieces, but of course I couldn't get everything.

Guess who didn't care for a walk a while later.

Today Loffe took off the lamp and hid it.

He actually did that. I have no idea where it is.

I may have to find it, because the wound is still open, and he scratches at it.

Loffe appears to be happy, despite the lamp he's still wearing on his head. We had the tube taken from his face today, and now the black hole that was there has turned into a red hole. That is as it should be, I understand: the dead skin has fallen off, and left an open wound.

Once the wound starts closing, it should heal quickly.

Loffe and I had to go to the vet today. Yesterday we noticed that the side of his face was swollen like a big ball, and all the fur had fallen off. A few hours later, he had managed to scratch a hole in it, and spread bloody pus all over the kitchen table ( Read more... )

In the last two months or so, Loffe has found his way into my lap more and more often. He was decidedly not a lapcat when he arrived, although he liked cuddles and pettings, for example if you sat down on the floor next to him ( Read more... )

It must be cold outside. Loffe is playing with a toy mouse.
