No Pratchett quotes; I saved all of my quotes on foppy, but the PC here at the library does not what to open in.
Why not use the internet at home...well, this is why:
I have cancelled my account with PeoplePC and demanded a refund as they are SHIT!
Yes, I have not been able to access the web since July 17 this year so I have had to use the computer at UWA or Dad's computer downstairs (when he's not at the house which has not normal.) Ah Well.
I've got to reread my Neil Gaiman novel (hardback as I had purchased it in 1999) that has been made into a movie (StarDust) as it was Excellent. (And yes, a very happy ending).
All of Gaiman's novels are fab (hello, Neverwhere was WONDERFUL and Stardust is just as good). In fact, Neil Gaiman had been a coauthor in one of Terry Pratchett novels, so of course my Five Neil Gaiman books are right beside my MANY, Many Terry Pratchett novels.
And yes, I do want to see the movie too, but I cannot afford that right now (Darnit).
I'm also going to have to ask for money to purchase a new parking ID ($10.00) and the books I will need for at least three of the classes I'll be taking next week.
Maybe I can find the cash I need.
(I want to donate blood, but there's no cash there).
Alabama and Mississippi need blood desperately. I'm pretty sure my blood is the same as my Dad's B+; Mama's blood type was O- which I'm pretty sure I don't have that.
Mama was given the wrong blood type (O+ because, let's fact it, Meridian was covered with STUPID Doctors in the 1900's.
I think (and hope) they've gotten better, but all of Mama's surgeries for other diseases and cancer were done in BIrmingham where she had a much better surgeons.
In fact when I had the same problem I had when I was 13 and my mother took me to Meridian. I and both parents said Tuscaloosa or Birmingham, not Merdian, when I had the same problem when I was 37 (which did not make Dr. Eller happy, but she understood; Rush was her employer and she was a Wonderful Doctor (damned Cancer for her too...I hope she went to Tuscaloosa or Birmingham for her treatments and will recover) .
Okay, enough of my crap.
BTW: Tigger is very well (and has returned to being a major pain itne ass, which is what all cats should be).
He, like so many cats, whats to go to places where he can't go (like under my rocking chair...damnit. When he was ill, I allowed it, but he's well so get out!).
Okay, that's it. It's going to be HOT AS HELL in Mississippi and home (York, Alabama). It was 104 degrees yesterday; it's supposed to be 103% today. We only have a 10% chance of rain for all of this week. It will raise to 20% Sunday and Monday, but we will see.
Of course I'll run my Air Conditioner when I get home (Dad's been running his air conditioners all day and night ; I actually turned mine of at 1:30 am since I figured with all of my fans running I'd be okay, When I get back to York, I'll turn on that conditioner (which will make the cats happy).
And yes, it's very hypocritical of me fussing about all the damages that we (humans) have done to the world, but I'll accept my punishment.
Have a great day.
