I'm finding that I'm really enjoying cooking while over here. I can spend between £30-45 a week on getting delicious, fresh, healthy food and make myself breakfast, lunch and dinner without having to buy more food. I think the fact that fresh vegitables are pretty cheap here helps me when it comes to my buying habbits. When you can get fresh sweet ( Read more... )

Sounds good! We can have a cooking party in NYC!

I'm discovering that I love cooking with fresh veggies when I have them but I never bought them in the States because they were pretty expensive and I didn't know what to do with them. I'm getting healthier by watching what I eat but then I start new habbits like Nutella and split my pants. >.

*lol* Mom wanted to know if you still wanted a size six if you split your pants.

I'm so freakin' TIRED Karen! We've had people coming to the apartment every day at 8am and it's loud and bright at night and I'm on an air mattress and sometimes it's cold and sometimes the radiator kicks in and it becomes a sauna and I can't lower it. Blah. I need a freakin' nap.

Aww, you can do it Loren! Everyone coming at 8am is fixing things and yeah, the air mattress sucks but mom will leave soon and you can grab your real mattress again!

You know how Mom likes to leave open water bottles everywhere and we keep telling her that it's going to spill? She keeps borrowing my lamp and then not returning it. (Which is another hilarious story where I borrowed her flashlight and she got so mad that I didn't put it back in her purse. "You should RETURN things when you're done with them! I need that light too!" And then she was confused when I agreed with her so profusely. "You're right, it IS frustrating when people borrow your things and don't return them.") ANYWAY, she had my lamp and I snuck into her room to get it back while it was still dark. Afterall, I use my lamp too. I totally knocked over her full bottle of water and she got mad at ME for knocking it over. *facepalm* How many giant water spills do we have to have until she realizes she should put the darn cap back on? Boo.
