well, i've had the hiccups on and off throughout the day. No good, they're really painful, and the usual remedies haven't worked.
spent part of saturday and all of yesterday with my boy, he is lovely. i'm really, really happy to be with him ♥
today, ceili opened her little Winnie the Pooh trunk, peered inside (it was empty) and announced that it smelled like watermelon. ("smell watermelon"-- in ceili-speak that's "mail wa-doh-me-nah") i was a little confused, so i stick my head inside the thing and inhale and what do you know, there's definitely a faint smell of a freshly-cut slice of watermelon. A two-year-old, can ya believe this kid? she's amazing. Real smart kid. CRAZY smart kid, to notice a smell coming from the inside of a cardboard trunk and identify it as watermelon, and not a strong odor, and not of watermelon fragrance, just a straight up watermelon. 2 years old. brilliant.
i'm gonna go to christmas in York with the family, on the 26th like usual, and it's gonna be great, but i'm a little bummed that i don't get to spend it with Ray, since he'll be in NY and i'll be in PA. it's all good though, we'll see how things work out.
Hey, the hiccups are gone again.
We saw "Ray" yesterday, it was a great movie, but i never knew that ray charles had been addicted to heroin, or that he cheated on his wife so much... i always saw him as a jolly, wholesome blind man genius. But okay, i guess i got the wholesome part solely from the fact that he was in pepsi commercials... and hallmark card commercials... well anyways, he was a damn good musician, i'll give him that. and he did go into rehab. But anyway, everyone go see the movie.
gotta start christmas shopping, gotta getta oil change, gotta have conard send my transcript over to Capital (i went to Conard today but the offices were already closed, but for the record, i attempted to be productive about it)...
today was a semi-productive day. woke up with my love, went to the grocery store, worked, went to the bank, went to conard (to no avail, see above), bought film and motor oil, got my prescription, rented Elf, came home, threw out some old junk, fed my car some oil, and poured oil all over the engine while i was at it. ok, i'm exaggerating, it wasn't too much and i did clean it off but i really gotta get a funnel. the easter egg uses up oil like there's no tomorrow. now i'm gonna make some banana bread-- the same banana bread i've been threatening to make for about three weeks now, i really hope the bananas are still edible. anyways, ♥
