time's the revelator
I wish I'd kept up here with the musical performances I've seen. Oh well, I'll just start again.
Last night I saw Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings. It was my fourth time in the past 18 months, but the last three times were as Dave Rawlings Machine (which I loved). This was my first time seeing them doing Gillian's songs. They were wonderful. They're just magic together. I'm sure that has a lot to do with how many years they've played together. I'm so inspired (and hopefully motivated) by their songwriting.
The highlight of the show for me was getting to see/hear Revelator. I've dreamed of it since I first heard the song. We (attempt to) cover it, and it's one of my favorite songs to play and sing.
I cried.
Now to work on a new song.
