Excellent Past 24 Hours
On a whole, this has been a great week, but the last day has been especially nice.
First, the good news...A little back story first, in case anyone who doesn't know happens to be reading this... The office that I work in is inside the Back to the Future ride. The ride is closing down on Labor day, to make room for a new Simpsons ride that will open next spring. This means that our office needs to be relocated. This has been an enormous source of stress. I generally don't like change and I really like my current office and the people that I work with.
So today, I met with my boss and she told me that we have a new spot. It's not 100%, it will depend on if the transmitter will work from the new office. If it works, this office sounds fantastic. It's very quiet, private, big and it has a kitchen. It really sounds nice. Plus, they will set it up so that I have my own space to work on the schedules. If this does fall through, I will be given an office on the lower lot for scheduling. Either way, I am in an excellent position. This news is far better than I was anticipating and I am thrilled. It also will mean that I will have less "office days" and more "schedule days". This is great, because on Schedule days, I can come and go as I please. Nice!!!
The other good thing that happened...I went to dinner with Luke last night. It had been a long time since I had last spent quality time with him. I didn't realize how much I missed him, until last night. We had fabulous sushi and spent the entire time laughing.
This week has been kind of weird, and it became weirder. We were talking about TV and I mentioned how much I loved amazing race. Luke then says, "Well you remember talking to Chip and Reichen at my party." Apparently I spent time with the winners of the fourth amazing race. Of course, this was before they were on the show. I don't remember them at all.
Luke then reveals that he dated Reichen...but now he doesn't like Reichen, because he is friends with Lance...Lance Bass. I was in total disbelief. Luke whipped out his new IPhone and gave me proof that they are all in his circle of friends. It has been a WEIRD week!!!
Oh yeah, I also got a cell phone, further proof that this has been a WEIRD WEEK!!!
