Valetine's Day
Valentine's Day didn't end up being depressing at all. It was actually the perfect day to return to work. On my desk, I found a yellow daisy plant with a huge bow around it. It was a welcome back present from my boss and the office. It took me two hours to sort through emails, about a third of which were sympathy/welcome back related. I also had more cards, phone calls, people dropping by with hugs...I felt loved and very much appreciated. Prior to coming back, I had received an Pink Azalea plant from the attractions management and a bouquet of multicolored daisies from theatrical operations (special effects stages.) I also had cards sent signed by people at various rides and shows. I really didn't expect any of it from work and was a little overwhelmed.
Valentine's Day was also a good day to be back, because right outside of my office, they were giving away enormous chocolate covered strawberries all day long! Also, one of my bosses bought Starbucks for the entire office staff. Thursday rocked! Small things make me happy!
