Mom Update
Things are worse. It turns out that there is no way that she will be cured. The only possibility now is prolonging her life...maybe a few years, but more likely a few months.
The only option to cure her is to remove her left lung. It turns out this isn't really an option because her quality of life would be so diminished, if she even survived the operation. If she survived, she would be bed ridden and likely it would mean shortened life.
Tomorrow she meets with a new doctor, an oncologist. We are going to start figuring out the best course for chemo and radiation.
I am falling apart.
