Dene's Baby Shower

At first, I wasn't going to write about Dene's baby shower. I figured that I bitched about it enough and that anyone reading my journal would think that I'm not happy for Dene. Before I start ranting to get it off of my chest, I want to say that I am happy that I went and I am happy for Dene. She had a nice shower and got many, many presents. Ok,

4 hours? I do think that is a bit much. Also the having other children there without something to occupy them--for 4 hours! Yuck!

Love your observations about pet toys/kid toys. Hadn't thought of it that way.

Four hours was a bit too much. I don't think that I have ever been to a shower that lasted so long. I think the main culprit, was having an over abundance of games and activities. I really think a lot of the guests just wanted to socialize, without having to be entertained.

I was surprised that the mother of the six year old didn't bring anything for him to do. I think that he probably would have been a lot to handle either way, but at least he would have been somewhat occupied!

That would be excellent! Maybe I will try it at Julie's shower. I'm hosting, so I get to make up whatever games I want.... :-)
