today was all about olds. i worked all day so that's guaranteed olds time. there was this old lady today that wanted help finding fish oil, so i walked her over to the supplements area. i feel bad selling people fish oil from cvs because they don't sell the good kind. mrs.sterling told me all about how there should be a certain percentage of ingredients in it and even though i don't know why, i believe her because it's really hard to find. i've look everywhere. haha, anyway. so we're at the fish oil and this lady decides i need to know her past experiences with fish oil. she's from hungary and when she was a little girl she had to eat fish oil straight up because she had stomach problems. she told me how gross it was and then performed for me how she reacted to it. lol. it was cute, i was amused. i like nice old people. then it was my aunts 50th birthday party. i felt a little lame when none of my cousins showed up. they're all younger than me and have plans like normal teenagers on a saturday night. so i hung out with grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, and my dad. woo. but it wasn't a total upset. i know my family is german but i never knew who actually came over from germany and my parents never bothered to ask their parents or just forgot so i thought i was just going to have to never know. but tonight my grandpa's sister came along, i very rarely see her. but i was sitting next to her and decided to strike a conversation. i told her i was going to germany and then she started saying something in german and i'm like "what?!" you speak german? i'm thinking, "dad, your aunt speaks german and you didn't know?" sheesh. so then i started asking 20 million questions and got the scoop on the Seitz's. So...apparantly my great great grandparents came from germany. my great grandparents parents also spoke german but didn't want to teach it to their children. the aunt i talked to only knew some german that she picked up from her parents even though they didn't deliberately teach it. i think that's confusing but whatever, i know what i meant. she also told me that my great great grandparents are from a city called Leidelsheim, or at least that's how i think it would be spelled but i'm only going off of how she pernounced it. i was so excited because she said it's near baden baden which is like 1.5 hours away from freiburg. but i got home and googled it only to find nothing. so either i messed something up, it's too small, or my aunt doesn't remember correctly. i'll keep trying though because how cool would that be if i could go there? olds aren't so bad. well, i'm bout to be sweet on a saturday night and sleep.
