Running and yoga are what keep my momentum going through the week. Not every night because some nights I just want to nap for hours when I come home. But really the more I exercise, the more energy and motivation I have. Plus Bill and I have a goal of "running" a 5K at the end of the summer. I should keep updates about my progress. I know a lot of you run, any tips on building endurance?
The weird thing about running is that every time I go, a different part hurts. The first few times you go out in the summer are hell, because it's everything. Every single organ hates you, especially your lungs and all your guts. You can't breathe enough so your head goes dizzy and hurts. After that subsides, later on it's the actual athletic muscles that are getting overworked. For awhile it was my ankles, then my calves. Sometimes the SIDE of my knee. It's so bizarre. But I never lost my quad strength from soccer. They're not as big as they were before, but I was thinking of doing more muscle toning and lifting exercises to get them back.
