Determined
So I came home last night around midnight. I met one of my work friends for a drink with a few of her friends. It was interesting, and I'll leave it at that.
I woke up on my own at 7:30 and I'm sitting in bed watching OTH on SoapNet. It really was the only thing on at 730 am on a Saturday. But I am determined to get stuff done this weekend. Grades have to be in by 9 on Monday morning. I stacked up all the papers I had to grade and measured it. It was about 12 inches high (11.5 to be exact). And most of it is essays or project stuff that just can't be checked through. Grr! I also have to finish my powerpoint and calendar for the executive branch, and my lesson plans for econ. And my mother wonders why I don't have a life.
So I've decided that I'm not leaving the house until all my stuff is done. That includes my chores of cleaning my room and bathroom and do the stuff in the common areas (dishes, floors, etc). Of course, not leaving the house doesn't remove the other distractions (i.e. the Internet!) But I will do my best to ignore or at least succumb to temptation in moderation. I'll post my progress as I complete stuff. (thus promising myself at least one distraction! kind of defeats the purpose!)
