TV and hair

1.  I'm viding again! So exciting when something starts coming together.  I think I'll have it done this week?  Maybe?

2.  Torchwood blew monkey chunks.  Seriously, what even.  Ugh.  I'll probably watch if they get another season, just because I love Gwen, but I'll definitely be fastforwarding through large parts.

On the plus side, Doctor Who today

1. Vidding is awesome and addictive and so much fun when your vid muse actually cooperates :)

2. Torchwood...Honestly, the only way I could've hated it more is if they'd killed Gwen. Everything else...First, I saw absolutely no point to the thing. I feel like RTD just threw out the words 'miracle' + 'blessing' and didn't bother to actually come up with a plot. Vera's death was awful but Esther...I can't even...Couldn't he have broken his trend of killing my favorites just this once? And now Rex, who is the absolute worst, will live forever. I just...NO THANK YOU!...I now wish to read ALL the AUs where Gwen runs Torchwood and Jack is non-existent.

3. Aw, I hope your new doctor will give you the treatment you need. Your hair is AWESOME and that pic is very cute :)

1. It's so much fun! Why don't I do this more?!

2. It was just so clearly there because RTD has to kill someone 'shockingly' in every finale. Except if you can predict it's going to happen, it's not shocking. You have a pattern, and it's lazy.

2. I think we were all expecting Esther to die in the finale but I was hoping just this once, RTD would do the ACTUAL surprising thing and let her live. But nope. And he killed off Charlotte, too (who I have decided was Esther's secret girlfriend and will be getting a long lecture when they meet up in the afterlife. But Ianto is there to mediate so it's all good.)

2. I think the thing that sickens me the most about it, is that people think it was good tv. (I am, as you might guess, incredibly angry about it--but not particularly surprised.)

Yeah, I've mostly been hanging out in the part of fandom that hates Miracle Day, but every time I see someone defending it as something really awesome no really, I have a strong desire to bash my head against the nearest hard surface.
