Finally
I finally got the test results, and the answer is...
Maybe. The top nodule is completely benign. The bottom one is abnormal, but it's a type of cell that can be either malignant or benign but they have to do a full biopsy. We had a couple of treatment options, and my mom and I discussed them this morning. We're going to go with a partial thyroidectomy. They'll take out the right half of my thyroid and biopsy it. If it isn't cancer then I'll still have half a working thyroid. If it is cancer, they'd probably have to go back to take out the rest.
I'm waiting for a call back from the doctor to deal with scheduling issues.
