Tatsuki was on patrol, as per usual for her night shift, hands stuffed idly in her pockets as she marched a tad rigidly up the stairs to the floor housing her current least favorite person. Well, that was a lie. Tatsuki had, at all times, a count of at least three 'least favorite' people in her head, all ranking at the top of stupid and inane. It was perhaps safe to say that the pale mirror to one of her closest friends had an inch on the other two, however. With a subconscious roll of her shoulder, she turned the hall corner to find Yachiru looking like the guilty party she most surely was.

"Yachiru!" her tone reprimanding, Tatsuki made quick strides to the smaller girl, frowning deeply. "What are you doing? It's not safe here." She tried to control her temper, but sadly, Ichigo seemed to have rubbed off on her lately and she had to look away to keep from glaring too harshly at the shorter one. Her gaze flitted to the door as she crossed her arms with a fierce sigh.

Making sure to shove the hairpins out of sight, Yachiru shifted her gaze from the door to the Dragon-lady and back to the door again. Pointing to the crayons and paper on the ground she tried to look innocent. She wasn't sure if the noise she heard was the click of the door unlocking or something else, but figured they'd find out if Kingy tried the door.

"I was colorin'! I'd come ta bring Kingy a picture I made yesterday, an' then figured I'd make more pictures 'cause he said he's lonely an' pictures make me feel less alone." She wasn't scared, since there really was nothing out there yet that had scared Yachiru more than when they tried to separate her and Ken-chan, but she wasn't sure she liked the lok on the Dragon's face.

”And lo, the dragon breathes fire upon the princess…”

Came the somewhat dry voice from the other side of the cell door. While he too had heard the faint click in the lock just before Tatsuki appeared, he was not about to open the door and barge out . No, he had more patience then that.
Now, all he had to do was wait for a little while. Either he could just calmly leave when the bitch had left, or, if she came to check the door, throw it up onto her and knock her out.
He favored the first example, however - but not because it meant he wouldn’t hurt the woman. No, he’d enjoy that - but the game would be much more interesting if she didn’t know.

“Che. I disgust you, but I’m not the one yelling at children…”

He teased, smirking slightly to himself. Every one at this place was so easy to control, to play with. It was like a chessboard full of pawns.
Only the bishop annoyed him somewhat…and the owner of said chessboard.
The ‘great one’.

Taking advantage of the distraction from behind her, Yachiru turned and started cleaning up her crayons with as contrite a look on her face as she could manage. "I'm sorry Dragon-lady, I'll get my crayons an' go back down ta my room."

She let out a heavy sigh and looked up to the window, waving sadly as she clutched her crayons and paper. "Sorry Kingy, I gotta go now. Dragon'lady says it ain' safe fer me ta visit..."

Shaking her head again---it seemed to be becoming her most often used gesture---Tatsuki rolled her eyes to the ceiling and then leveled a softer look at Yachiru. Then the idiot behind the door decided to chime in and she barely refrained from a liberal helping of 'fuck you' by noting the charge with crayons and pink hair ( ... )

”Start what?”

The pale boy asked with fake innocence in his voice, putting one hand on the door handle but not pulling it down quite yet, waiting for what Tatsuki would do.

“I’ only telling the truth, you silly dragon. And I’m spending some time with a poor lonely girl, since your… people locked up her guardian. Is that so wrong?”

He grinned slightly, glaring at the door. He could almost feel her presence outside, and it made his fingers itch - oh, how he hated her.
Not as much as he hated the horse, of course, but he still loathed her. For some reason, she had become a manifestation of the reason he was locked up like this, and so he projected all of his anger on her.

“I am being nice.”
