It was a pleasant day outside,
the type a kid like Yachiru would usually be taking advantage of, except as she passed by a window heading towards the tower she knew that she had stuff to do and playing would have to come later. She had a plot going through her head, not very well formed yet, but she knew she’d be getting help. She was going to free her new friend from his cell, and then together they could play and have fun and eventually free Ken-chan. All she had to do was get the keys from the Dragon.
Being careful not to attract attention, she made her way down the hallway towards the locked section. Pulling out a hairpin from her pocket, she fiddled with the lock until she could open the door just enough to sneak in, closing it behind her. She knew the Dragon-lady would be mad if she found Yachiru here, but her friend was lonely. Approaching the door, she knocked softly hoping that he was awake.
“Kingy? I’m here! We gotta figure out how ta get tha Dragon ta give up the keys!” She was whispering, not wanting to alert anyone else to her presence.

There was a sound of springs creaking as someone turned in a bed, and then naked feet on the floor as a person sat down on the other side of the door. All that was heard was breathing at first, but then there was a voice.
“So the princess has come. Hi there, little one.”
The nameless boy in the cell said, putting one hand on the locked door as he listened to Yachiru as she spoke. Such a nice little girl…yes. Perfect to help him escape this place. Things were going quite well for him lately. He had managed to rouse the dragon and send the stupid horse into a raging fit.
He liked that - everything was going exactly as he wanted it, and now this little girl would help him escape the tower.
“Indeed we must… can you steal them from her?”

Taking a seat on the ground in front of the cell, Yachiru pulled some paper and crayons out of a small bag she kept at her waist, nodding as she made herself comfortable. “Yup, I think I can grab tha keys next time she comes ta get one o’ my pictures.”
Yachiru started to draw out her idea, voicing it as she concentrated.
“I was thinkin’ I could get ‘er ta come ta my room, an’ then I’d go fer her legs. Ken-chan once taught me ta throw myself at someone’s knees ‘cause that can knock them off-balance. When she starts ta fall I can use some stuff in tha room ta whack her real hard an’ get ‘er knocked out!” She wondered what she could use. She knew it was a really simple plan, but she was a simple kid and not as good at this plotting stuff as she liked to think.
“Whadda’ya think? Will it work or should we plot s’more?”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
He laughed at that, leaning his head to the locked door. Oh, he liked how she thought…but it was far too risky. Not for her of course, but he really didn’t care about that - no, it was risky because it could fail. He didn’t like that possibility.
“Oooh, good plan, princess. But what if she gets mad at you? No…steal it when she doesn’t notice.”
He said, his voice honey as he spoke to the little girl that had come to see him. It was quite amusing, really… but he enjoyed it. It meant he could use her…and he wasn’t too lonely. For no matter how insane he truly was, he did get lonely locked away like this, and it gnawed terribly on his nerves.
He was so close to the horse yet he was not allowed to see him…hurt him…make him pay.
It could make anyone crazy. Or so he thought.

Pressing her crayon to her lips as she thought about what he had said, Yachiru giggled as she crumpled up one piece of paper and started drawing another scene. He was right.
"Ya make a good point kingy, I don' wanna get hit by tha Dragon-lady. I'm small, I'll jus' follow an' try ta snag tha' keys when she's tendin' ta someone."
That sounded a lot better, although she wondered what Ken-chan would think if he knew she was planning a non-violent assault on someone. It was worth a try though, anything to get her friend out so that she could have someone to play with since they kept making Ken-chan play elsewhere. She started to babble again, never once thinking once he was out her friend wouldn't be interested in playing.
"An' once yer out ya can come stay wit' me! I got an extra bed in my room! Then we can play lots an' bite people all tha time!"
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“No, we wouldn’t want you to be hit, would we?”
The nameless one said, smirking, drawing his still bandaged fingertips against the door. It didn’t make a sound…but how he wished it would. He enjoyed that sound, after all.
He listened to her ramble on about all the things they would do after he was free, and it made him grin even wider. Oooh, she was a lovely little one, indeed.
“Yes, of course we will! We’ll play hide and seek, chase the dragon and make the horse cry. Oh yes. We’ll make him pay for all the things he’s done, and then I’ll be the true king.”
He mumbled, both to her and to himself as he leaned to the door.
“And we’ll find that Ken-chan of yours…”

"Hittin' me is bad, it makes Ken-chan real angry." Her voice was soft as she relayed this message.
She turned slightly, looking up towards the small window in the door and blinking as she stood up and tried to reach it.
Knowing it might not do anything, she pulled out her hairpin again and started to fiddle with the lock.
"I've never seen a horse cry b'fore. He must be a real wimpy horse!" She stuck out her tongue as she worked on the lock.
She could hear him lean on the door and smiled brightly, pleased to be helping.
"Yeah, an' I already told Ken-chan 'bout ya, he's lookin' forward ta meetin' ya!"
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
He laughed at that, shrill, blood-freezing laughter coming from the other side of the door as he listened to her move about and climb up to the tiny window.
“Oh, he thinks so, does he? Of course no one should hurt you…and you shouldn’t need to listen to anyone either…princesses isn’t told what to do, y’know. It will be fun to meet him.”
He heard her fiddle around with the lock. How amusing it would be if she actually managed to get it open - it was rather amazing that she succeeded to sneak up like this already, to visit him. Crafty little girl, indeed. He liked that - it meant that he could use it.
“The horse is weak. Very, very weak, and he will pay for what he has stolen…”
He slowly stood up so he could look at her, his yellow-tinted eyes full of humor and ill will, and the wide grin still played on his lips. Funny girl, the little princess. Funny indeed…

Hearing more laughter from him, Yachiru started laughing as well. She really didn't understand how people could think there was anything wrong with him when he had such a nice laugh. He laughed like Ken-chan.
"I think tha two o' ya will get along well. He was teachin' me how ta help in fights, but then tha mean people put us in here."
Having read about lockpicking in one of the many books she had taken from the library, Yachiru knew that there were certain methods that could work. She had gotten a few other things to use as tools, and really hoped something worked.
"Did he steal lots of important stuffs? I don' like thiefs, they need ta be hit. Or have stuffs stolen from them."
Looking up, Yachiru didn't see anything mean or unpleasant, she only saw a friend itching to get out. She put more effort into her lockpicking, since she knew he was depending on her.

”He stole my life. My name. Everything…”
The sickeningly pale boy said, looking at her, leaning his forehead to the window so he could study her tries to open the lock. Good girl. Good pawn. Princess? Yes. Maybe. Friend? Maybe.
He didn’t have any friends and he wasn’t sure what to do with them. All his life, he had only known abuse and torture. Then he had seen what his ‘horse’ had and grown to want it more then anything else - but truth was that he didn’t quite know what he wanted. More then to see Ichigo suffer.
“I will steal his life. So he’ll pay. Yes.”
His eyes narrowed a bit as he looked at the small girl and hr bright pink hair. Would she be able to open the door? Was it possible?

Yachiru paused, her face taking on a serious look. "That's really mean of him."
She knew what it was like to not have a name, a family, or anyone who cared for her. Then Ken-chan had come along and saved her from all that, named her Yachiru and showed her what it was like to have love and a family. In her own way, she liked to think that she could help her new friend like Ken-chan had helped her before. She'd help him see it could be better.
"I already said I'd help, so's you ain' alone anymore, ok?"
Making a little face, Yachiru pulled out a second pin and began fiddling with both until she heard something. Looking up in shock, she jumped back.
