So I have been awesome lately.
Friday - riding lesson
Saturday - running
Sunday - 2 hour hike
Monday - walking
Tuesday - running
Today - Yoga, at the very least
Not sure what I'll do tonight, kinda depends on the weather. I'd like to go for a bike ride, but the bike rack isn't back up on the truck and just riding around the neighborhood is kinda boring. If Dennis isn't really worn out (they've been really busy at the shop lately), perhaps he'll be up for a walk in the park.
I bought myself a scale that also tells you the percentage of body fat you have so I can actually keep track of my progress.
So I already wrote about riding. Saturday I ran for about 15 minutes. Felt really good. Sunday, Dennis and I went hiking at the
Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Spent about two hours there. Had a fantastic time. Got to check out some ledges, an overlook, a cave and some neat crevasses and mini-canyons. I took pictures and downloaded them off the camera, now I just need to *upload* them onto photobucket. It really was wonderful. We went early, so there were very few people on the trail we hiked. And it just smelled terrific. That very clean, but earthy smell. Especially when we would walk through a stand of pines.
Monday wasn't a big deal; we just walked rather than drove to run some errands. (Signed the lease on our new place, woo-hoo!) Then yesterday I learned that there are podcasts for the
Couch to 5K program, so I downloaded one to my iphone and off I went. It was awesome. I felt like I really pushed myself by running faster than I normally do for the running intervals, but at the end of the workout I didn't feel completely wiped out. Looks like I'll be able to reach that goal of running a 5K by the end of the year after all! In fact, I might amend my goal to not just run that 5K, but get my time down to 25 minutes or less. (Previous PR: 27:27)
I've also been doing the Beach Body Bootcamp Challenge (although I guess they re-named it to the Swimsuit Bootcamp Challenge; I always mis-read it as beach *booty*) over at
SparkPeople. The videos seem so damn easy when I watch them through the first time, but they're actually decently challenging when you actually do them! I'm totally going to be buff. *nods*
One of the women in my department is leading a yoga class for us during lunch today, and hopefully every Wednesday. I am muchly looking forward to it!
