kiya
my best friend had her baby on Sunday. i had been on call since Saturday night. I was so happy that it didn't happen on saturday nite though b/c there was a party at my house and i was in no condition to drive. so i get the call around 2:50pm and i get to the hospital about 7 minutes later(which is a miracle). Was sent to the waiting room, and i'm freaking out b/c i know that she must be terrified.
then Laine's dad, mom and someone else gets into the waiting room and we sorta make some small talk. they are laughing at me b/c i'm so nervous for her. then her real mom comes to the room and says that Laine wants me in the room. I was to scared for her to be nervous about being in there. besides i thought that i would be gone b4 the delivery.
i was wrong.
but it wasn't that bad, 45 minutes later, Kiya was born. And i know that i may be biased but i think this is one of the cutest babies i have ever seen. she was HUGE! 8lbs, 2 oz, 21.5 inches long. and the most amazing thing was that Laine never screamed, or cursed. she was calm, and made it look so easy.
i wish i could upload some pictures onto this. does anyone know if we can?
well time for me to get going, have to finish getting ready for dinner.
