Well that was a blast!
First
hllangel came over for bagels and lox, and then she and I went for a very cold walk up Castro street with a stop at Imagiknit to buy a circular knitting needle for hubby.
After that we went to the Mint and found the pleasant surprise of
chocolate_frapp already there. So I was surrounded by two of my LJ peeps, as well as Sebastian, Peggy, Daddy Dave, Brian, Yanni, Jim, Brendan, Slash, Shane, Rockin' Vince and various others.
I did Mr. Success, All Out of Love and Thunder Road. (Peggy requested the Springsteen and I can deny her nothing.) By then I had the sushi for hubby, so we were just waiting for
hllangel's last song, which took awhile and got really annoying because she was after Vince in the rotation and he insisted on doing Kashmir!
It was a cold walk home as well. COLD COLD COLD! I love my foggy city, but right now I could do with some heat and sunshine. Luckily I have tomorrow off for work on the Novel and
mmom.
*****
I have now seen the season finales for the following shows: House MD, Bones, CSI-NY, and Heroes. Also, I've read Wicki and spoiled myself for NCIS.
I've just discussed this with hubby and he agrees with me that the "fantasy episode/cliffhanger" episodes don't really make either of us that much more inclined to come back for the next season. How about giving a good solid episode that actually reminds us what we like about the show in the first place? That makes me want to see the new season when it starts again. (Obviously this doesn't apply to Heroes as much, because they're about cliff-hangers anyway.)
