One Night In Bangkok - Murray Head - SQUEEE!! I love that song. Finally added it to the iPod earlier this year after not hearing it for ages. It's cool and different and West End and piquantly Abbaesque all at once :)

Hi sweetie! I've been following your posts the last few days. I'm sorry you're having such a rough patch. All I can say is Hang In! (And as I told the crying woman on BART, "This too shall pass.")

I was sorry I had to leave so soon, but I thought I was gonna have to break into Lane's apartment to get his meds. Turns out, he was OK for a few more days.

Yeah, The Mint was fun on Sunday. I wish I could have attended the festivities on Market Street, but I had to visit with family. Next time, I'm telling them "Don't come during Pride!".

I wish I could have stayed for the lesbian/bi-fest. I probably would have fit right in. By the way, there was a rumor going around The Mint that I was born a woman. Not true :-)

Nice to be on LJ finally!

I remember those days. The Mint family has always been full of crazy rumors.

LJ is awesome. There's a few other Mint-folks on here as well, plus you can do a search for interests and hook up with some comms.

I've been to the Mint so damn many times I'm sure I'm the subject of some rumors. Maybe it's best that i don't have clue one what they are.

Do you know what fanfic is?

*snort* You're braver than me. The few people I've talked to about my online life are either extremely disinterested or look at me like I'm fit to be chained to the wall, so I don't bother. I even wince when Starhubby starts proudly telling people that I 'write'.

To me the Mint is a safe environment, because anybody who's there is on some part of my wave-length already and those who ask about my writing tend to be creative types. If they don't know what fanfic is, I can make a decision whether or not the conversation needs to go further and if they do, then maybe I'm on my way to a new reader and more commments.

On the other hand, I don't actually appreciate Hubby being quite as free with the information in other circumstances.

*nods* Exactly. If we hung out with RL people who knew about online fandom and hung out in it, that would be one thing. But most of our RL friends just aren't part of that scene and don't 'get' it.
