Why is tonight different?

Because Hubby and I are planning to go out and try a new Indian Restaurant called Gajalee. It's actually the restaurant that is now in the location that used to be Maharajah, which was our go-to sit-down Indian restaurant. (My go-to take out Indian place is Alhamra. The goat curry is insanely addictive.)

Obviously this means I am not going to a Seder tonight. Because I suck. I should be going to my aunt and uncle's house in Marin. My cousin Shoshana, who I haven't seen in at least two years is going to be there. Much as I'd love to see her, I just don't want to deal with the bus to Marin and having to stay over-night. It was when I was in my 20's and 30's. Now I'm old and grouchy and tired and want to sleep in my own bed and not have to get up super early to get the first bus back.

Hubby took me over a few years on the motorcycle, but since accident #2, that is no longer an option and we are non-vehicular. He's planning to learn to drive a car, but that is a slow process and has been less than a top priority.

So, yeah. Going out for Indian seafood and blowing off my relatives because I'm too cranky to take a bus and sleep over.

A Zissen Pesach to all of you who are better Jews than I am, (Gunga Din.)
