I'll never, ever learn English properly. I need google even to read your tags.

Poor you. I don't think a sore throat is an age related problem, though, it's probably an infection, unless you started smoking recently. Not even my husband (the Supreme King of Hypochondriacs) gets to fake that.

I do hope Physical Therapy helps and that you can get back to your normal life soon. I am so busy commiserating myself for my mental health issues that I forget to be thankful for the lack, as yet, of physical problems. Since I'm barely two years younger than you, this is probably going to change in the near future.

As for the weight/shape issues, let's not even go there. My lunch today was a tiny sandwich and three walnuts (after an espresso for breakfast).

"Whinging" (I assume that was the puzzler.) Such a fabulous expression, which I picked up as a result of my Anglo-philia. It really captures the annoying quality of the activity much better than "whining."

Have a pity party then just focus on how to deal going forward :) I think we all need a good pity party sometimes!

At least it's temporary and you are not a hypochondriac to want to make sure your body is taken care of before you get super sick!

(I get sore throats/ear pain when I have allergies and sinus stuff - maybe it's that? You can always do a nettipot and see if it helps)

I think the sore throat was related to the back pain in the following way: when the back pain kicked in and I stopped exercising, I started scarfing BIG TIME. For a few days there, I was inhaling a pint of ice-cream a night and a lot of other stuff was going down the gullet without much thought or maybe enough chewing. Maybe that irritated the throat lining in some way.

Hang in there! I agree with the others, a sore throat isn't something you can fake and isn't age related.

But in this case it wasn't very serious either. All I had to do was the hot tea and honey thing. I even went to Karaoke that night.

Everything's under control. Sometimes I think my body waits until it knows I'm on vacation and then my white blood cells decide they're on vacation too, so I end up getting sick.

As a perennial sore throat sufferer, I can assure you it is NOT age related! Sorry you feel so blah.

It wasn't a great week, but things are better now. Thanks for your good thoughts.
