I am having such a crap day!

My Microsoft Outlook has been pretty much buggered ALL DAY! This has me so frazzled, I can barely get words out of my mouth to match the actual concepts I'm supposed to be dealing with. Plus I'm the Limo Queen today, which is a royal pain in the patootie ( Read more... )

I'm eager to hear your thoughts on chuck :)

I started Being human but haven't watched more - will be interested to see if you recommend finishing the season :)

Sorry about Outlook...non-working-email drives me freaking INSANE.

What did you think of the last few Buffy eps? And all the cute Spuffy-ness? *tries to think of Buffy drabble prompts*

I was really glad they had some good moments together before the end. And I certainly related to Spike when Angel showed up all "here I come to save the day."

Hee, Buffy? Now? How 'bout Angel? (Granted, I was late to the party myself...)

I didn't take to Being Human at all. I did try. Loved Dollhouse though.

We did the first disk of Angel, but when we went to the 2nd one we were having DVD player problems. Since fixed. I've told hubby if he wants more Buffy-verse, that's the way to go.

I'm having major issues with Dollhouse. Like pretty much once ever episode, I have a WTF ARE YOU THINKING, JOSS? moment.

Love Angel - in some ways more than Buffy. The problem with Buffy was... well, Buffy. And Angel, really XD

Yeah, I wasn't sure whether to mention that about Dollhouse. If you have a feminist bone in your body it's kind of dodgy. I can put up with a lot on that front, I admit. Or that may not be what you're saying at all!

No, that's pretty much what I'm saying. I realize there are a lot of layers and it can be read as a meta about artists and the act of creation, but on it's face...it's really, as you say, dodgy. And sort of hard to take coming from the man who gave us Buffy and Firefly. So I keep hoping that the arc is going to redeem the concept somehow. The last episode I saw so far was the one where Echo "frees" the actives and I thought, "oh that's awesome." Only to have the reveal come in and reset everything.

I'm a feminist, but I'm not looking to find sexism and misogyny in every nook and cranny. I have no problem with Stephen Moffat who is getting a lot of shit thrown at him right now.

But there's just something really distasteful about this concept and the amount of graphic violence that Echo and the other female actives are subjected to.

Thanks sweetie! I hate cycling with a vengeance, BUT it is good exercise, burns more cals faster than walker and is very environmental.
