Windshield Wipers
Another chapter in the Windshield Wiper saga..
First, a quick recap.
I bought my car in March 2003. I didn't replace the wipers until ... Thanksgiving 2004. Either Thanksgiving or Christmas. On a road trip with my sister to Arizona to spend the holiday with our parents. The passenger side wiper fell off on the road. Not a big deal until it started raining. When we got to Arizona, there was a nice arc scored in the glass on the passenger side. Sweet. Replaced the windshield and got a new set of wipers. While installing the new set, found the blade that was thought lost! Score!
The Arizona Set stayed on until sometime last year when I replaced them with the "Missing" set.
Yesterday, I finally got tired of how smeary they were leaving the windshield, so I bought a new set.
Put them on when I got home tonight, since it was still light out. It was raining very lightly, hardly a sprinkle and almost not worth remembering or mentioning.
When I got the driver's side wiper off, and was opening the new package, the rain picked up. Not really a down pour, but enough to quickly soak my t-shirt.
It kept up until just before I finished with the passenger side wiper.
I think the clouds were taunting me.
