One of the pieces of mail today was telling me I'm part of a class action lawsuit ... It's apparently everyone who owned an Inspiron 5150. The terms of the settlement seem to be extending the warranty until September 2007, due to many users experiencing issues with the powersupply and/or cooling systems.
Guess I can send my laptop in for repair without worrying about cost now. :)
In other news, the new version of
MedVisor|dental.com is supposed to be live on or before the 14th. Since the graphic artist and I have the layout finalized, and I'm just waiting on the content, I uploaded everything today. Now when I get the content, I can make the change from any computer with an internet connection. Hopefully I'll have an internet connection Thurs/Fri.. ;)
Another couple random thoughts floating around my head ...
Neil Gaiman wears black to make his clothes match easily, not because he likes the goth aestetic, or to remind the world everything's not "okay" ... I'm not sure if that's brilliant, or lazy ... perhaps brilliantly lazy?
November is
NaNoWriMo and I plan on participating this year. I've got an idea that's been brewing in my head for a few months (nigh on to a year, actually) but haven't written anything on it yet, so I think that's what I'll go with. During November, daily updates will most likely happen at
karakwrites instead of here. Maybe both, I dunno. I'll try not to self-edit while writing, as that's what
NaNoEdMo is for in March. It's dawning on me what a daunting undertaking this will actually be ... ~4 pages, single spaced 12pt every day ... for 30 days. That's more than my all of my little stories combined ... by about 20 times ...
Should be fun :)
