I know I had two observations to make ... but only one comes to mind at the moment ... Oh, now I remember the second one ...
Anyway, on to the first observation:
Me vs. Caffeine. For most people, caffeine is a stimulant and will keep them awake. It does not affect me in this way ... though it does keep me awake by causing liquid to flow through my system faster, thus filling my bladder which keeps me up until emptied, but this is beside the point. I have noticed that caffeine does wonders for me when I have a headache, especially due to lack of sleep (i.e. if I've only gotten 4 hours of sleep in a night, I'll have a dull headache all day unless I drink coffee) I don't know if this is psychosomatic or not ... I do know that I used to have migraines and my physician prescribed Excedrin Migraine for when I first notice the migraine coming. being the curious sort I am, I read the bottle and the chief ingredient is caffeine ... [coincidentally, I haven't had a migraine since graduating from high school ...]
My second observation is this:
Recently I've been listening to
Flood in my car and it brought out the strange realization of music vs. lyrics in the feel of a song. Most notably the song "Twistin' " which musically is happy and upbeat and light-hearted, but listening to the lyrics, my interpretation anyway, is that it's sung by a mutual friend of a couple that split on very bad terms to the male half of the couple, saying that the girl wants to see him again ... "slowly twistin' in the wind" hanging from a tree, or otherwise hanging ...
it was just a strange dichotomy to notice ...
