Stealing others' thoughts once again, I'll direct you to Monte Cook's blog, and his thoughts on moving.
While I'm still in the same city, it's unlikely I'll travel as far South as I used to live ... I probably won't go to the Safeway at 39th & Powell, or the Fred Meyer's at 39th & Division again. They're now out of my way in daily life. Unlike Monte, however, I didn't have any posters on the walls for the last two months I was there, so it wasn't the bare walls so much as the vasty emptyness of the apartment as I swept through the last time to make sure I wasn't forgetting anything that was the final nail in the coffin, so to speak.
