Or, more specifically, I'm working out. Around 3 this afternoon, Onca and I decided we'd been sedentary long enough and went to check out the facilities provided by the apartment complex while our laundry was in the wash. Started on the treadmills to warm up, then some situps. A short rest to check the washer and then we were on the stationary ( Read more... )

The bar normally weights about 50lbs. Shocking I know, but a 100lbs bar would be very large, so it is safer to say 50lbs. If there is a scale there just check it, weight yourself without the bar in hand then with :D. Have fun I miss being near a free gym.

I'd weigh myself with/without bar except the scale is broken. I know I'm atleast 220 lbs (closer to 240) but it thinks I'm 167 or so ..

LoL gotta love that kind of scale :D makes you feel like you efforts are not in vain. As for the bar, co workers agreed with me in that average weight is gonna be anywhere from 20-50lbs, normally on the lighter end unless the bar is desgined for heavy weights. Thats alright gotta start somewhere :D. As for vid card, I could not find it I gotta find the box its sitting in and gods only know what I did with that, but if I find it shall let you know and such. How did the job interview go last week?

He beat me to it, but he's right. Most bench press bars are 50 pounds, though I've heard of 45 pounders and seen some very small ones intended for kids and other small folk.

Be careful as you go up in weight- spotters are a necessity.

And don't forget your pushups/dips/situps!

Or to stretch before and after workouts!

... and tuck in your shirt!
