Definite plans for next week.
I have a flight booked leaving Denver at 5:50 PM Thursday the 16th. Scheduled to arrive in San Jose, California sometime near 8PM (7:45ish).
In flight meal slated as: Snack.
This will be the first time I've flown in 18 years.
At this point, I assume Alarin will pick me up at the airport, we'll hang around, get dinner and what not, then head out Friday morning. I'll see if I can find the One Man Band Diner again somewhere a little ways south of Salt Lake City. Tasty burgers there ...
And an update on the lappy - I've ordered a new drive from newegg.com. Decided on the Seagate 80GB. Seagate was recommended for having a 5 year warranty. And 80GB > 60GB ... ;)
in the mean time, the old drive works fine as long as I keep it cool ... I've taken out the wireless card, since the PCMCIA slot is just below the drive bay, to give the drive more room to breathe, and I've been keeping the read/writes down. No virus scans, no file transfers, etc.
I chanced watching the latest Doctor Who episode, Boom Town. Good episode. looking forward to the next two and more about the Blaidd Drwgg ;)
