Stupid goddam Microsoft.
I can't find a good Linux client for Exchange... Ximian Evolution (with the Ximian Connector) works okay, but not goddam well enough for what I need. For just messaging through exchange, having shared calendar, etc, it works fine for me. What I need is access to public task folders. Ximian Connector goes over OWA (Outlook Web Access) to get to exchange, and OWA has only useless views for public task folders (such as the folder we use to manage Development and Infratech tasks) and Evolution just pulled up blank pages .. :-/
I really want to say "Fuck Microsoft" and go 100% pure linux for at least my personal machines, but it doesn't look like I can at work ...
Apparently
Bynari has reverse engineered Exchange's RPC Communicaton Protocol for its Insight Connector, but as near as I can tell that a) costs money and b) is a plugin for Outlook.
Guess I'll try to install Outlook XP under WINE ... bleh
