Summary: Angel sends Connor to boarding school, not knowing Buffy had sent her sister Dawn to the same one. What happens when the two troublemakers meet up and become the only ones that can save the student body?

Connor laid in his bed and looked up at the ceiling. It was too quiet for him to sleep, he was to use to the howls in Quor-Toth or the sirens in LA. Maybe the quiet’s a good thing? He thought as his eyes slowly started to close. ‘Should take advantage of it...'

BOOM

The sound echoed in his ears and he sat up. His roommate remained sleeping so Connor assumed it was something in the distance that his sensitive hearing picked up. He got up and looked down from the window. There she was, Dawn.

"Smooth Dawn, very stealthy." Connor heard her mutter to herself. She had apparently fallen off the rain pipe she was scaling down. Dawn got up quickly and straightened out her clothes then headed east.

Where was she going? Connor thought. There’s nothing around here except... His thoughts broke when he noticed the speed she was going at. Connor knew he had to see what she was up to, so he got up on the edge of the window and jumped off gracefully landing on his feet.

Dawn was already at the cemetery when he arrived, and he hid behind a tomb stone. She had come here to... fight?... a vampire? Connor thought with a confused expression and watched her battle. Her moves weren’t that bad, she had obviously been taught by a professional, but her precession was off.

Dawn had flipped the vampire over and bent over him, stake at the ready. Connor noticed someone else at the cemetery. The man hid behind a tomb stone too, but he wasn’t watching, he was waiting. Connor knew exactly what for when he scoped the area and pounced at Dawn.

She staked the vampire and turned around to see another vampire right in front of her. Connor quickly broke an abandoned branch and staked the vampire from behind. Dawn looked at him with wide eyes as the dust fell over her. She got up quickly and wisped the vampire dust off her. Connor watched her for a second. He noticed the school uniform really didn’t do the young woman’s body justice. She cleared her throat in anticipation of conversation.

"What are you doing here?" Connor asked her.

"Wasn’t it kind of obvious?" Dawn said.

"Why?" He asked quickly.

"It’s what I do. What about you? Why were you all gun-hoe about getting in the way of a vamp?"

"It’s what I do." Connor repeated. He saw a smile come across her lips. "I’ve been hunting all my life, and one thing I know for certain is that you don’t fight when you’re angry." He told her.

Dawn’s smile faded, "What?!"

"That vampire shouldn’t have gotten that close, you weren’t paying attention. If this is what you do you should know that."

"Uh!" Dawn grunted. "You don’t know anything about me and if I wanted the lectures I would have stayed in Rome with my sister!" She turned and started heading away back to the school. Connor quickly followed.
