It's Like a Drug...
I'm completely hooked on SG-1. I've watched up to 3x16 Urgo. Thank goodness for local libraries that have almost the whole series in their DVD section and let you borrow 5 at a time. I've been suffering withdrawal the last couple of days because the library wasn't open and I won't be abe to get there until later today to get the next few DVDs. Thank goodness for fanfic!
I am officially a major Daniel fan. There's just something about him. And the Whump! Gotta love a show that has so much whump of your favourite character as canon ;-) My favourite episode so far would be Legacy. Or Need. Or really any Daniel-centric episode. ;-)
I also love Jack, although not to the same extent as Daniel. But he is still great. Teal'c is interesting too. I'm interested to see the development of his character as Earth customs influence him more (I'm assuming they do?). Still don't love Sam. There is something about her that annoys me. I was thinking about it last night and I think one of the main reasons is that she seems to have in depth knowledge about too many things. It doesn't seem realistic. At least with Daniel his extensive knowledge is all in a similar area and its realistic for him to have started learning about it at an early age. Sam though wouldn't have started studying until upper high school at the earliest and from what I know of the sciences, specialisation tends be fairly narrow. Plus her trait of wanting to act first, think later makes me want to strangle her sometimes.
As for shipping, at the moment I'm going to stick with gen. Nothing really leaps out at me. Although I have enjoyed reading the Jack/Daniel dynamic in the day and a half I've spent reading fanfic but its mostly been in a gen way.
Oh, and I've been completely ignoring LJ and my inbox so sorry if I've missed anything important. I'll try and catch up later today. That's if I can drag myself away from SG-1 for a couple hours though so no guarantees. :D
