I participated in a flash challenge at Liberty Hall yesterday and I'm so glad I did. I was sweating over taking my prospective characters for a sort of test drive and couldn't seem to get up the courage to try, but then I did with the challenge and I had the best time. I've got changelings and magic and all sorts of drama and a sidekick who has allergies. They're in an adventure that wasn't quite what I'd envisioned or was taking notes, on, though, but I'm all right with that. I had to fit the challenge.
Anyway, with all this, I won't be much of a challenge for the guessing frenzy. Oh, well, next time.
Hey, what I really wanted to talk about today was Lumosity--why they didn't just call it Luminosity, I really don't know. You take a bunch of people with tricky brains and mix with spelling? Who does that?!
Well, since I've started this, I'm up all the way around, with memory and problem solving both making the highest jumps. Memory is mostly with names and remembering what happened the time before, and problem solving is math and finding your way through mazes, I think that one is.
By far my highest, and always has been, chunk of the pie chart is Flexibility. This has to do with thinking outside of the box, and when I started, I really had very little else that was strong, and my situation was getting pretty scary.
I've noticed a lot of differences. They're not big differences, but they're making a big difference, if that makes sense. It used to be that I'd think, I need to put on my socks, and on the way, clean the bathroom, make the bed, pet a dog, go to the kitchen, and realize I'd forgotten my socks. Well, now I think, I need to put on my socks, and on the way, clean the bathroom, make the bed, pet a dog, get the socks, put them on and then go to the kitchen.
For my age group, Lumosity thinks I'm in the 94th percentile, which, I think Lumosity is out of its mind, but it can think whatever it wants, as long as I can remember my socks.
lumosity,
