Flash Challenge Fun!

Hey, the first Flash Challenge since the site do-over is up :-). It's a different set-up and all, so leave extra time to figure it out. We send an email, get the trigger, write to the trigger for (under) 90 minutes, and then send the story in, in email. Interesting, huh? I haven't done it, yet, but wanted to mention that there was a Flash party going on! Be there or be--ovoid or some such, and you don't want that to happen!

I fixed up a story yesterday and want to put the edits in today. I am not very happy with this one, if you want to know. It's a sort of coming-of-age story, really, and I'm too old for a story like this, I don't care if I wrote it in the first place. I don't connect with it on a very realistic level, maybe. Hopefully the rewrite/edit will spark something in it; right now it's just going through the motions of me wanting something out.

I read though the "First Draft in 30 Days," looking for every word on subplots. I don't think I know what a subplot is, which may be why I've had troubles with them. What's a subplot?

hard graft, editing, how-to-write books, liberty hall
