amsterdam update number 4!
SO yesterday holly and i did something very educational. we went to the anne frank house. it was pretty much not all that impressive. considering they did reconstruction to turn the house into a museum and it's perhaps the total opposite of what it was during WW2... good thing we only paid 3,50 euro for it. cuz seriously we were pretty much not all that impressed by this house. not to mention its empty so it looks bigger then it really was with stuff in it like beds and chairs and shit. i dunno it was fasinating to think that the streets we were walking on Natzi's stormed 50 years ago but... the actual house wasn't that great. i read the leaflet before we went and then when we were in there everything it said i already knew. such crap. but poor little annie franky, that would suck living behind a bookcase for 6 months. with 7 people. for sure shitty. so here is a picture of holly and i before annie franky housey. it was really early and we hadn't had our coffee yet, keep in mind. also, we weren't stoned i was just doing an impression of anne frank smoking a joint. oh and we had to wait in this line FOREVA (20 minutes...)
so after annie franky we went to a cafe called ESPIRIT. it was pretty dank. once again an amazing sandwhich. and good apple cake. yum. after that we went to find my BOOTS and go shopping. i found them, they are SO amazing and awesome and i got a good deal on them too. omg i know you're jealous, i'm jealous of myself. we shopped around for awhile until we decided to head back to home and have tea. then around 6 we met up with the lovely russian igor for ice skating. so we found this fab ice rink and it was outside and pretty and cheap. only like 5 euro. so we got skates and i was pretty much scared shitless cuz um...ice skating? i did that when i was like 6 at the mall... i'm def not a pro. so it was basically the most dangerous thing i've ever done in my LIFE, holly and igor were way better then me times 349058304985. every picture of me is like AH HELP ME but i didnt fall. oh and these little dutch douche kids kept throwing snowballs at me. very funny, not. i tried to throw one back but um i def couldn't go very fast so they stayed away and they were WAY good at skating i didnt really wanna brall. so here is a lovely picture of holly and me doing the dance of ice skating:
yup. so then after a whole 30 minutes of ice skating and me whinning a BIT about the level of difficulty... we went to find a bar. its like FREEZING here by the way, so cold. so we went to a bar called Dan Murphy's it was an irish pub. there are like 3904853908 of those here. but this one was def not a good one. after that we went to this live music one which was fun but WAY crowded and it wasn't that great of music. but it was alright. tonight should be more fun cuz we're clubbin' instead of pubbin'. both are fun though. so here is a picture of the three of us, finally igor let us take a picture of him! woot! igor is way neat, probably the coolest russian you've ever met. and holly is the coolest britt. and i am just not cool cuz i'm american. hah! here:
so after that we were um good and drunk. we spent like 50 euro just on drinks of the three of us.. we went to burger king for igor cuz he was starved from not eating all day. then we walked him and his friend (forgot his name) to the tram station. everyone was furious. okay thats an inside joke, no one was actually furious. furious in russian is SLOY. neat huh? and bean in dutch is BOON. okay but so yeah then our night ended but igor had the toughest time getting home cuz the trams broke down. and it was scary and wet out and so not good. but i had a VERY fun night last night. woot here is a picture of me and holly being the coolest two drunk girls you've ever seen:
