amsterdam update number one
HEY PEEPS, so i decided this would be a good way for you guys to see what i'm doing here with holly in amsterdam! so here is my frist update. so yesterday i got to the airport at like 1 in the afternoon, got way lost, finally found holly, and off we went to her apartment in the city. then we chilled out a bit cuz we were both way jet lagged and tired, we went to this cafe called BAGLES AND BEANS which basically was amazing and the coffee here = amazing. and then last night was new years so... we decided to head out around 9 and wondered up and down the streets of amsterdam insearch of some fun. we found this cafe called THE DOLPHIN which if you smoke pot would have been your heaven. we ordered a joint that weighed out to 0.8 of pure maryjane and promptly seated ourselves downstairs where there were a lot of kids sitting on couches smoking to their hearts desire. after about 3 or 4 hits from that joint we were like SO FUCKING HIGH, infact i've never smoked anything like that. i was shaking after 1/4th of the joint, SHAKING. omg, it was so intense. but we finished it and then we were talking and realized we should never smoke pot in amsterdam without water.. that was the first lesson of the night. then some german guys sat down on our couch and we started to make conversation as they got out their bong, joint paper, tobacco, and hash. it was the most interesting thing to watch, they were really good at rollin joints too. here is a picture of them [i'm such a tourist]:
their names were mario, sasha, and danny. in order from left to right. they were nice. then we headed out and grabbed some pizza, which was amazing, and it wasn't just us being high. it was way good italian pizza. okay then we went to heartge's this bar that holly's friends always dance and drink at. it was very nice. holly and i ordered a purple rain, which was some amazing concoction with vodka in it, then we ordered some straight malibu on ice, then they gave us free pasty green shots of something i have no idea what it was but it was YUMMY. then everyone was dancing and we tried it a little but overly exhausted as we were we decided to just chill for a few hours and talk with the locals. holly's friend's were really nice and i'm sure tonight will be very fun dancing and drinking with them. i'm excited to meet her good friend igor from russia who is coming in today. then after the bar we headed back out saw some fireworks and went back to her place to watch laguna beach on dvd. haha. it was really fun and the city is AMAZING. so many beautiful europeans everywhere. alrighty well i'll update once again tomorrow! love you all!
