Aww, thanks! I promise I'm not abandoning BSG. I've been writing Glee a lot lately mostly because there's new canon; if I get an episode-specific bunny, I kind of have to write it right then, or it'll be old news in a week. But I do have a lot of fun coming back to good old BSG!

This was a little more reflective than I normally let Culture Shock 'verse get, but I thought they were interesting questions. The Colonials landing on Earth could be a (very) mild version of Childhood's End, but I do like Louis coming back and saying it doesn't have to be that way if they don't view it as an us vs. them situation. Also, any opportunity to take a potshot at Lee's plan is an opportunity I'm going to take. ;)

Thanks!

So I can't actually read this because I just started watching BSG a couple days ago and am TERRIFIED of spoilers, but I just wanted to say,

OMG BATTLESTAR!

OMG BATTLESTAR!

EEP! I am so jealous of you, getting to watch BSG for the first time. It's such an incredible show, though I obviously can't say much more without spoiling.

Well, there are two things I should say that aren't spoilers:

1) This is really, really far in advance for you, but there's a sort of "lost episode" that's not included on the DVDs because of contract issues but that is actually pretty important. It's a ten-part web series called "The Face of the Enemy," and it's meant to be watched in the middle of Season 4. Anyway, here's a link to the web series on Hulu, and I recommend watching it between "Sometimes a Great Notion" and "A Disquiet Follows My Soul ( ... )

Awwww. That was more bittersweet in a way than usual, but definitely not depressing. I love it. And it is interesting to think how Earth would be affected by the arrival of the Colonials on a scientific scale.

I really, really want to live in a world where Culture Shock is canon :)

Thanks! Yeah, it's really not so much a Culture Shock fic as a fic that uses all the same background information as that 'verse, but writing it that way seemed more doable than trying to come up with an entirely new back-story that still brought them to the same place plot-wise.

I really, really want to live in a world where Culture Shock is canon :)

Me too!

Also, I just saw the exchange up thread, and I think we need a strategy. How do we get mary_flanner to become a Gaeta/Hoshi shipper and write us Gaeta/Hoshi fic?????? :) Because the idea that could be a reality made me squee more than a little.

I know, right? I don't feel I can push/campaign/whatever too hard yet, particularly since it doesn't sound like she's even to the part where Hoshi exists, but YES!

Awww. That was really sweet.

I don’t think I’ll ever understand Jersey Shore or why it’s on TV at all. Me too Louis.

Nice little jab at Lee, there. :)
