Awwww. That was more bittersweet in a way than usual, but definitely not depressing. I love it. And it is interesting to think how Earth would be affected by the arrival of the Colonials on a scientific scale.

I really, really want to live in a world where Culture Shock is canon :)

Thanks! Yeah, it's really not so much a Culture Shock fic as a fic that uses all the same background information as that 'verse, but writing it that way seemed more doable than trying to come up with an entirely new back-story that still brought them to the same place plot-wise.

Also, I just saw the exchange up thread, and I think we need a strategy. How do we get mary_flanner to become a Gaeta/Hoshi shipper and write us Gaeta/Hoshi fic?????? :) Because the idea that could be a reality made me squee more than a little.

I know, right? I don't feel I can push/campaign/whatever too hard yet, particularly since it doesn't sound like she's even to the part where Hoshi exists, but YES!

Exactly. I don't want to dogpile. (Although I did note that you made sure she knew where to find the webisodes! Good move!) And I have to admit, I myself barely noticed Gaeta until Exodus II, when suddenly he went from "wait, who are you again?" to one of my favorite characters in one single scene.

I also can't seem to get Kurt and Felix to like each other in my head, but I would so read it if someone else could pull it off.
