Last Call: Beta
I blew off real life this weekend to work on fic, because a) I really needed a weekend of fun and relaxation, and b) I am so damn close to being done with my monster fic for mary_flanner's "Scholars & Gentlemen" 'verse.
I am looking for a beta. It's Kurt/Blaine with appearances from lots of other characters, it's set several years post-high school, and it's 33,000 words long. The overarching theme this fic has decided it wants to have is family. If you're at all interested in beta'ing but aren't familiar with S&G, I can summarize the back-story I think you need to know.
What am I looking for, beta-wise? I wrote this in present tense, which is not something I normally do, so I'm looking for help spotting any places I accidentally slipped into my more comfortable past tense (there shouldn't be many). Also, because it's such a big piece and something I've been writing for such a long time, I'd love to just have a pair of fresh eyes look at it to make sure everything hangs together, if there are any gaps, etc.
Finally, I have two scenes left to write. One of them, I will be able to finish on my own in short order. With the other, I know the set-up, and I know in general what I want, but I just can't nail down the specifics of what I want to happen in it. I think you'll know what I mean when you see it.
