I lost the ability to tell time, when it was all said and done. “Before now” was the only way could describe it. Reminded me of being in a little pine box, somewhere underneath the Virginian woods

If I could still sweat, I would probably be drenched in it by now. I think it’s been hours, but it feels like weeks. Getting the blindfold off has only made things worse, because now I swear I’m seeing shapes in the darkness

It seemed to be underground. It wasn’t clear, of course. In a rare show of trust, I had allowed myself to be blindfolded, and was, as best as I could tell, in a chair somewhere. Tied up. Sightless
